How the mighty have fallen. - July 27, 2007
I can't be the only one who thinks that Melissa Lafsky has utterly ruined Freakonomics can I?

I'm thinking about cutting the whole franchise out of my life. How can you trust two guys that would not only put this person in charge of their blog--but unleash her on their fans?

I couldn't agree more, Ryan. It's so fucking stupid. I used to be excited to see a new Freakonomics entry in my google reader but now most of them are Lafsky-centric. The only reason I read Lafsky entries are to see how many commentators shit on her and ask Dubner and Levitt what the hell they're thinking.

I already unsubscribed to their RSS feed. I gave her a week, she was a disaster. It's unreal.

She must have signed some sort of contract or she is fucking someone because there is NO WAY the feedback isn't getting through.

I stopped reading the durn blog as soon as she signed on. Normally, I'd give it a week or two, but I hated Lafsky in the original enough to cut Freakonomics out immediately.
Looks like that gamble paid off.
