Ah, the internet. I read that post initially without ever thinking who the “source” might be. A week later, I find out it was the guy I used to sit across from. And it isn’t the least bit surprising, because that interconnectivity/anonymity is just an everyday part of our lives.

Sometimes I just sit back and think about that, and how removed it is from the world I started in to…

I know what you mean, but I get this distinct feeling that he was saying “Look at me, I’m the first manager to be making serious money online. Look at how progressive I am.”

Which of course is totally untrue and Avril is the antithesis of what a forward thinking artist looks like.

Thanks for the link. Your piece rings true on many levels. But I think you fail to give credit to guys like Terry and you (and I hope some times me) who take broad shots across the bow to push the conversation forward in a meaningful way. McBride is no messiah, but he’s doing far better work than most managers.
