Have you read any of the other translations? I have one translation thats printed in the Classics Club edition (George Long if I'm not mistaken.) I'm wondering how big of a difference there is between the two and if I should just go out and buy another copy.

I've got the Hammond translation, too. Read it a few times, but from the looks of this interview, I'm missing out.

I have my eye on you. And because my life is so boring, I like to make disturbing homosexual remarks about you on your blog. And yes, it infuriates me to no end when you edit my comments.

Great interview.

I have the Martin Hammond translation myself (and I am working my way through it for the first time), but I'll pick up the Hays translation when I finish this one.

Haha - that's hilarious, Gladiator helped develop my interest in Marcus as well (of course, since Gladiator is my favourite movie of all time).

I read this version on your recommendation after attempting another version a few years back (after seeing Gladiator, of course). This was an awesome book, and I think I underlined at least half or more of it! Thanks for the tip!
